Character: Just for everybody who still remembers our Mama Bailey-she is still with us, she is very much loved by her "forever foster mom" Peggy and her brothers, Aldo and Tucker. ( many of you will rememeber her ordeal when she first came to us, so anemic and run down that she needed a blood transfusion, she had been found laying near death in a ditch besides a busy road. We had tried everything, holistic treatment in Sarasota, Bio resonance therapy with a vet from Germany, nothing worked-so after spending all the money (you guys had generously donated for her treatments and we spent nearly $ 4,000 on her)and not seeing her improve, we learned our lessson and she is now on hydro cortisone and is holding her own. She was diagnosed with pemphigus through two different biopsies. Every day with her is a gift, every day we are grateful to have her with us and were permitted to save this special brood mama. Her daughter lives nearby and they both recognized each other at our anual picnic, which made me cry like a baby.
