Character: Nigel is the ultimate perfect greyhound gentleman! He is what everybody would want in a greyhound-
He is handsome, sweet,loving. He thrives on attention without being needy, loves to play, loves cuddle time, loves people and is a leaner. He is very intelligent and can figure out what people want and need and what is permitted and what is not!
He will be there for you on rainy days when all you want is stay inside and spend some lazy time in front of the tv or read a book. He will be there for you when the sun is shining and you go on long walks with him in the neighborhood. He will be there for you when life is gloomy and tuff to handle, and he will show you the silver lining and he will be there for you when the sunshine warms your heart. He is calm and perfect and anybody who will share life with Nigel is a very lucky person- he is a keeper and should be treasured!

Character: Flash is a wonderful greyhound and we are lucky and happy to have been able to get him into our group. He is very well behaved with easy manners, and took to retirement as such a young age in no time. He enjoys running in the fenced in yard for fun instead for his life. He discovered stuffies in no time and gets a kick out of playing with them. While he gets along with the other dogs in the house, he loves and thrives with attention and could be maybe also an only dog. A young family with teenage kids, a retired couple with lots of time and love to give, a single person who works from home or wants to come home to a companion who patiently at the door after you pulled into the garage, would be the perfect match for this gorgeous boy.

Character: Raven has come, seen and conquered-that is with her foster family who are all, the 2- legged members and the 4legged memebers, madly in love with her.
She is such a sweet, lovable lady! She is bright and adorable. She loves her foster brother, Clyde, and imitates everything he does, so we would love to see her go to a home with another greyhound in it. If you are not paying attention, she is on the couch or the bed, so definitely she has to be permitted on furniture in her future. She is making up for lost time at the track by playing with stuffies all day long. She will take them and make a big pile of them in the middle of the room and then move them all to another spot and pile them up. She has the most amazing big ears, when they are standing up they are almost comical. She has warmed her way into our hearts and she surely can do the same for you. She gets along great with kids, and she cannot get enough of them and being petted by them. She is a total love and a keeper!

OUR EASTER PRESENT HAS ARRIVED!
On Thursday I went to LCDAS, (Lee County Domestic Animal Serices) which whom we partnered with, and picked up a stray greyhound. (found out he was adopted through a different group and was found wandering the streets, nobody knows how long he had been a stray) He looked skinny and sad, but some ear rubs and soft words spoken into his ears on the way to the foster home already did wonders. He is an AWESOME young greyhound gentleman, with impecible manners, with a zest for food and the good life, but not in a ravenous, bossy way, no, he is incredible well mannered, polite and perfect. This boy must have either been a farmer or he owned a health food store in his former life because he devours fruits and vegetables, anything you give him he eats!He is not as starved for food however as he is for attention and love! He easily can be an only dog, with a person or persons who are home a lot.
He is just a doll baby and everybody who met him has fallen head over heels in love with him. Jack in return soaks the love, the cuddles, the ear rubs and the attention in life mothermilk-
I envy the person or persons who will share their future life with this special boy! He is young, handsome, well behaved, loving, happy and just perfect! The person who let this boy become a stray and never looked for him surely lost a treasure, and we are the lucky ones to have found this treasure!

Character: Riley's life is upside down! This poor senior is loosing his home due to circumstances he has no control over-His auntie is in the Nursing home and he is alone for over 13 hours a day, 6 days a week when his Mommy has to be at work! This would be too long for any greyhound, let alone a senior citizen! Riley is an incredible handsome gentleman with lots of love to give- He is a people person and loves to be close to you, loves to watch tv right next to you on the couch- He gets along fine with other greyhounds, but does not need them or seems to interact with them a lot, so we feel, he can be an only dog with a retired person or a person who works from home just fine.
Riley is thunderphobic and would do best with somebody who understands his anxiety!
Please come and meet this elegant, sweet and loving greyhound and take him home and tell him that if life throws you lemons, you will make lemonade for him!


SUMMER

Character: SUMMER has arrived! and not just the scorching temperatures outside, no, we have our own Summer now- A tiny little brindle girl who is full of life, full of love, full of sweetness just like a home made lemonade on a cool summer evening! She is a gem and her personality will just enchant everybody who is lucky to meet her! She loves life and loves people, other greyhounds, other dogs, older kids,cats, just everybody- Life is good! She smiles a lot and loves lounging around on the couch, snuggling up with you in the bed. Toys and stuffies are a big entertainment and to run for fun rather than for her life is so much enjoyable- Summer really got her name right and she has to keep it, because she is a ray of sunshine, she is a true summer, loving, affectionate, sweet, comical, just a perfect little greyhound girl who wants to crawl under your skin!

Character: We are thrilled to have Ibby in our circle!She is such a sweetie pie and lover sponge! She adores people who are calm and gentle, who give her love and cuddles, who talk to her in a soft voice. She loves living in a quiet home with not too much craziness going on, but at the same time enjoys playtime and running in the fenced in yard, running for fun, running for joy and with a smile on her facce. Ibby gets along beautifully with the foster mom's two greyhound boys and is a big flirt. She has them wrapped around her little paws- We feel she also would be very happy as an only greyhound as long as her human or humans are at home most of the time and have time and will give her lots of love and attention, however she is not an attention hound, she is just thankful to receive it and soaks it in. She is a cuddle bunny through and through and always has to touch you- Her favorite place is lying down on her foster mom's feet, with one paw touching the mom's leg! She ia a dream of a girl and we envy the lucky person who will share his or her life with this sweetheart!


DAKOTA

Character: Dakota is coming back to us, not of his own doing, but of circumstances he has no input on. His family of 5 years is moving and will not take him with them. We, at JGF, are heartbroken over this event and feel for him, want to support him and want to assure him that there is another family out there that will fall in love with him, will open their hearts and their home to him! Dakota is a total sweetie pie- He lived with a bird, a cat and a young puppy dog, a labrador/bulldog mix, who surely challenged the patience of this mature greyhound gentleman. Dakota is a lover, and gets along well with anybody, but for sure, he is a people person and would love to snuggle up with you and find forever love in a home with people around him who tell him how special he is (and he truly is) and how handsome he is (and he truly is) and how much they love him and will never let him go.
There is really nothing easier than to open your door to a senior greyhound who knows houselife- Just show him his bed, show him his food dish and just put another dish out and this special boy will be home!
